Homestuck is… very complicated. I often only get things really when someone else explains it or I read it on the wikia. Trying to explain it to someone who hasn’t read it yet is nearly impossible.

Lately I tried to explain some things of Homestuck to a friend. The quadrants and bit of the plot, for example. And my friend found it interesting, though she’s not gonna read it, and went like “Can you explain ____ to me?”.
No. No, I can’t, because I’d have to explain thousand other things to you then so it makes sense to you.
